MCAT GPA Score Correlation

Acceptance to medical school depends mainly on 2 factors that give us a reasonable prediction of the outcome, the MCAT score and the total GPA, yet not to be used to encourage or discourage any behavior when it comes to submitting an application. This MCAT GPA estimator, though prepared to our best knowledge and effort, should not be used as the sole determinate for chances calculation and should not discourage anyone for applying as you can see there are still people doing it out of the blue. Other factors, at the appropriate setting, might also have weight like research, volunteer or working in a medical-related field as nurses or scribes.

Researching thousands of medical school applicants and students over the last couple of years mainly on the various internet forums aided by helpful resources from different medical organizations, I came up with this helpful GPA MCAT correlation table to better understand the importance of getting the MCAT and GPA scores as high as possible to increase the chances being accepted at least to one medical school. I found that it is important to have an updated MCAT GPA correlation table since AAMC grid resources and LizzyM score estimators accuracy is doubtful as they are outdated and have a lot of discrepancy when come to building a curve.

A word on MCAT GPA score grids correlators. Use these predictors wisely. Keep your primary intention a priority. If you are eager to go to medical school and these tables or grids are not helping much, don't give up. Ask your friends who made it there. Many medical school deans or interviewers take other factors into consideration. I will be writing in the near future post about these factors.
